GG loves: Ramppanget

Bring it to the #RUNWAY!

The way it states the obvious and how people fail to acknowledge it, an #URBAN #ABSTRACTION.

Rammpanget is a platform for platforms, Charles Salazar talks about his project and everything else ironic about badly drawn PWD ramps.

What was the initiative to start @ramppanget?

I think I started 2015. Nalaman ko na there’s a PWD month pala, and then sakto around the area of my apartment may mga PWD rams na sobrang panget ng pagkakagawa. Yung iba running head on pa sa wall. So ayun at least to acknowledge it I made it.

How often do you see badly made ramps?

Like in a month, I can spot, like, five bad ones. Two of them are the worse, then yun lang pinipili ko. Non-friendly sa pedestrians imagine pa if you’re on a wheelchair. Then bakit nagkakaganoon yung drawing? I mean wala ba siyang international standard on how to draw it? Sobrang simple lang we can do for the PWDs we can’t even do it right.

When do you “state the obvious”?

If we know that it’s obvious already bakit ako nagkakaroon ng posts on this. It’s not obvious if we don’t acknowledge it.

 Impact?

Napansin ko lang dun sa activity ng ig acct ko ng ramps, dumarami yung nag fofollow sa akin na architecture students. Flattering yun if may nagmemention sa kanya sa mga classes, etc.

The Future of Ramppanget

Well baka zine, kasi yung mga sis ko from Hardworking Goodlooking like Clara Balaguer eh sinuggest nya na gawin. Then tuloy lang, if makaka-pag partner ako with orgs na mapush yung advocacy open naman ako.
