“I wanted to communicate more of the way the place feels to me through this edit of images,” shares photographer Cru Camara, who’s been frequenting her childhood home in Zambales to shoot more and experiment creatively. With her instinctive command of color and eye for surrealist composition, this new series is a thoughtful reflection on how she relates and adapts to a place. “Right now, it’s the atmosphere and colors that I’m most interested in—the deep greens of the leaves, the orange of the sunsets, the bursts of pastel in certain objects,” she adds. “My area is also a relatively quiet place by the beach which often makes it peaceful, sometimes dreamlike.”
